The 50/50 payment split
A 50% booking retainer secures the booking; the remaining 50% is due 48 hours before the event. Both are held by our payment processor and released to the talent after the event completes.

You pay $1,029.99 in total: the booking fee when the cancellation window closes, the booking retainer after the contract is signed, and the final balance 48 hours before the event. No card fees are added. The talent pays their own $20.59 booking fee separately; it is never added to your bill.
How payment works

Book & retain the date
Your 50% booking retainer is charged after the contract is signed and held by our payment processor. It compensates the performer for reserving the date and declining other work. Once it is paid, your booking is confirmed.

Event happens
The final 50% is collected 48 hours before the event date.

Released after the event
Funds release to the talent when you confirm completion, or 24 hours after the event ends unless you report a problem.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation is free for both sides during the 48-hour window that opens once the performer accepts the booking. Nothing is charged until that window closes. The booking is confirmed once the booking retainer is paid. The full rules are in the Booking & Cancellation Policy.
During the 48-hour window
Cancel from the booking page at no cost. No booking fee, booking retainer or final balance has been charged yet.
After the window closes
The booking can no longer be cancelled from the booking page. Contact ZaZang support; any refund, including of the ZaZang booking fee, is reviewed case by case by our staff.

Held by our payment processor, released after the event.
